The islet of Ai Stratis (Agios Efstratios)
The beautiful islet of Agios Efstratios (Ai Stratis) with roughly three
hundred residents took its name from a 
Missionary that taught there.
With enough plantation more in the north-eastern side and scattered small
wooded extents mainly from oaks, Ai Stratis is a small virgin island 16
miles from Limnos and 15 miles from Sporades.
It has beautiful coastline
with sandy beaches that alternate with steep rocks.
Agios Efstratios (Ai Stratis) is ideal for relaxing holidays sun-baking
in its beautiful beaches, many of which can only be approached by small
boats.
It is one from the very few places in Europe, that one can find
beaches in which the only inhabitants, even in summer, are rare species of
seabirds.
In Ai Stratis you will enjoy a great variety of fresh fishes, lobsters and crabs in budget prices, the exceptional local cheeses and the goat meat.
